Tendulkar bags ESPNcricinfo award

February 20, 2012 11:56 pm | Updated 11:56 pm IST - New Delhi:

Sachin Tendulkar has bagged the fifth ESPNcricinfo best batting performance award in Tests.

His 146 at Cape Town in 2011, which came in testing conditions and in the face of some sublime swing bowling by Dale Steyn, was the top choice choice of seven jurors out of the 11 who had him in their top three.

It was Tendulkar's second ESPNcricinfo award. He had won the ODI batting performance in 2009 for his 175 against Australia in Hyderabad.

Doug Bracewell won the Test bowling award.
