Showcause notices on TNCA, Haryana CA and MCA

The CoA has showcaused the TNCA, Haryana Cricket Association (HCA) and Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) for their Constitution not being in terms with the BCCI Constitution. All three have been asked to respond by October 7 (Monday).

The CoA is also examining objections that have been raised against Baroda, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi.

Pointing a flaw while forming the Apex Council, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has been asked to remove the nominated players — Snehasish Ganguly (brother of CAB President Sourav Ganguly) and Gargi Banerjee — from the list of Councillors.

The CoA has said that the players will be nominated by the Indian Cricketers Association (ICA).

The CoA has been informed of the bizarre way the Maharashtra CA election was conducted on October 2. Former India players Yajurvindra Singh and Shubangi Kulkarni have conveyed to the CoA how they were harassed by the electoral officer.

In Baroda, the losing candidate for the President’s post, Jatin Vakil, approached the Supreme Court, pointing out procedural lapses related to the nomination of the winning candidate Pranav Amin and also nomination for two posts by a few members.

Vakil has referred the oral mentioning at the Apex Court and taken his objections to the CoA.
