S.P. Ragul Rithick scalped six wickets as Tirupur entered the quarterfinals of the TNCA under-14 inter-district cricket tournament by virtue of its 197-run first-innings lead over Krishnagiri here on Sunday.

At Namakkal, R.V. Hari Prasath’s five-wicket haul helped Namakkal take a 12-run first innings lead against Thoothukudi and make it to the last-eight stage.

K. Nirmal Kumar’s unbeaten century powered host Tiruvallur to a 218-run first-innings lead against Erode and into the quarterfinals.
