Parab, Ayush and Ajith shine

Parab Simran Singh (129, 148b, 20x4, 3x6) and Ayush Jamwal (108, 168b, 9x4, 4x6) added 168 for the seventh wicket to power North to a total of 417 on day one of the second round match against West in the BCCI inter-zonal under-19 cricket tournament on Sunday.

In another match, left-arm spinner Ajith Ram’s five for 20 helped South restrict East to 124. In reply, South was 136 for five.

The scores (round two, day one): East 124 in 46 overs (Sudip Gharami 32, Atul Singh Surwar 32, Ajith Ram five for 20) vs. South 136 for five in 42 overs (Arjun Aji 37, Y. Sandeep 39); Toss: East.
