Delhi wicket-keeper batsman Rishbh Pant and Uttar Pradesh left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav have replaced Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian team for the six-match limited-over series against the West Indies to be played in Trinidad, Antigua and Jamaica from June 23.

While Pant made his T20I debut against England in Bengaluru in February, Kuldeep made his first international appearance in the fourth Test against Australia at Dharamshala.

Rested

Both Rohit and Bumrah have been rested.

The BCCI release has avoided naming the head coach of the team, which means the Board has not been able to take an undertaking from Anil Kumble that he would continue for the series in the Caribbean.

It has been reported that the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and V.V.S. Laxman is likely to meet skipper Virat Kohli on Friday in order to find out more about the nature of his differences with Kumble and his style of functioning. The release, however, said that the administrative staff would remain the same, thus confirming that Kapil Malhotra would be the manager.

The schedule: June 23 and 25 (first and second ODI, Port of Spain), June 30 and July 2 (third and fourth ODI, Antigua), July 6 (fifth ODI, Jamaica) and July 9 (only T20I, Jamaica).

The team: Virat Kohli (captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Ajinkya Rahane, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), Yuvraj Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav and Dinesh Karthik.
