Nayar made mentor, lead coach of KKR Academy

IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders has named Abhishek Nayar as mentor and lead coach of the KKR Academy created for its players for off-season training. The academy was launched at the Just Cricket Indoor Stadium in Bangalore on Monday. KKR has also appointed Omkar Salvi as the bowling coach of Academy.

The KKR CEO & MD Venky Mysore said, “the idea of the KKR Academy has been part of our vision, with a view to help our cricketers improve their skills, fitness as well as grooming talent and provide them a perfect platform to showcase their skills. This is another step in the professionalisation of the Knight Riders franchise.’’
