Having started the day on 65 for 2, South Africa were dismissed for 130 on day 4 of the first test against India in Cape Town. India were set a target of 208 to win the match.

Bumrah (3 for 39) and Shami (3 for 28) were the main wreckers-in-chief.  Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2 for 33) and Hardik Pandya (2 for 27) gave them ample support.

After an entire day of play was lost to spoilsport weather at Newlands, Cape Town, the dynamics of the Test match have changed. Besides, Dale Steyn has been ruled out from bowling in the rest of the game (perhaps even series) owing to a foot injury.

The hosts resumed play on Day 4 with a healthy lead of 142, while the new moisture in the wicket could assist the Indian bowlers in the first session. Read more
