Kings XI Punjab captain R Ashwin won the toss at Hyderabad and decided to bowl first. They brought back Mujeeb ur Rehman and gave a debut to Under-19 wicketkeeper Prab Simran Singh.

Sunrisers Hyderabad added Abhishek Sharma, Mohammad Nabi and Sandeep Sharma to their line-up.

David Warner, with 611 runs from 11 games, has been a leading light for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this edition of the IPL. And with the flamboyant opener set to play his final game this season for the Sunrisers before joining the Australian team as it prepares for the forthcoming World Cup, the home side will be keen that he scripts a winning moment when the R. Ashwin-led Kings XI Punjab comes visiting on Monday night.

 

The equation is pretty simple for the teams — both have 10 points each from 11 games — they need to win all their remaining three matches to make the playoffs.
