Lean and mean Mitchell Starc has been in great form for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Pepsi-IPl-8; without him Virat Kohli’s team may have been in a more dismal situation. The tall Australian has bowled in six matches, took three wickets on three occasions and surpassed it all with a four for 15 against Kings XI Mohali. With 15 wickets at a frugal 8.00, Starc is already the most feared bowler in the league.
RCB’s South African all-rounder David Wiese is in awe of his Australian teammate; at the pre-match press conference the South African said Starc has been fantastic.
“His stats tells it all, the impact he has had in the league. He has set the tone from the start. He’s taken early wickets to put the opposition on the back foot and in the death overs he’s the best in the world.
“It’s nice to have the confidence in a bowling attack that can always come back and bowl good death overs. He’s been outstanding from the first game he’s been here for us. ’’ said Wiese.
