Pollard hits a 50 in his 100th IPL match

What an innings from Kieron Pollard played at the Wankhede Stadium! The blitzkreig from Pollard just took the game away from Kolkata Knight Riders.

KP's knock just overshadowed the unbeaten half-century from Mumbai Indians' captain Rohit Sharma.

Kolkata Knight Riders were on the driver's seat with the dismissal of Jos Buttler. Then came 'KP', playing in his 100th IPL, powered to a 17-ball half-century to take the game away from KKR.

Sheer power and brutal hitting from Pollard. He just dispatched the ball over the fence 7 times in his innings. Indeed power-hitting knock, he tore Sathish and Unadkat apart.

Pollard has played some brilliant knocks for Mumbai Indians right from 2008. Though he had a modest 2011 and 2012 seasons, he was the backbone of the Mumbai Indians line-up. His all-round performance enabled Mumbai Indians to win the IPL title twice.

In his 100 IPL matches, he has scored 1873 runs at an average of 29.26 with 78 as his highest and took 56 wickets. His strike rate is astounding at 149.36. He has so far hit 119 sixes and 126 boundaries. He is also a brilliant fielder and has taken 53 catches so far.

In this season, Pollard has played 7 matches, scored 122 runs at an average of 30.50. His 51 not out against KKR is his highest in 2016. His strike rate was even more astounding at 162.66.

Out of 45 T20 Internationals, he has scored 664 runs at an average of 22.13 with 63 as his highest. His strike rate is 142.18. He has taken 44 wickets.
