Led by some brilliant batting from Quinton de Kock, Delhi Daredevils defeated Kings XI Punjab by 8 wickets with more than 6 overs to spare.

Led by some brilliant batting from the South African Quinton de Kock, Delhi Daredevils defeated Kings XI Punjab by 8 wickets with more than 6 overs to spare.

Despite losing Shreyas Iyer early, Delhi Daredevils did not let their noose down. Quinton de Kock and Sanju Samson saw through the initial overs and once settled they went after the bowling.

Samson was out for 33. Kings XI Punjab fielding is not quite up to the mark.

10 to win from 7 overs. It is indeed a big victory for Delhi Daredevils. Sahu into the attack. de Kock hits the first ball for a boundary. Pradeep Sahu into the attack. Good work in the deep, restricts the score to 1. Good tidy over from Sahu, not allowing batsmen to free their arms. A close one for de Kock but a wide ball. excellent delivery beaten the batsman, keeper and all others, ball races to the boundary. Saha misses the stumping. de Kock has two chances till now.

Johnson into the atack. fine shot but only a single. Quinton de Kock started to play freely now. A good tidy over from Johnson. de Kock flicks it and it is a boundary. It is indeed a bad ball from Johnson.

Axar Patel into the attack. Good disciplined bowling from Kings XI Punjab. de Kock could not free his arms. Loud shout for LBW, umpire says no. Murali Vijay drops a sitter that too of Quinton de Kock. Will it be crucial? de Kock hits a boundary off the last ball.

Pawan Negi brought into the attack. Full toss, Vohra plays it straight to the fielder. Vohra smashes the next ball for a boundary. Catch dropped by Zaheer but there is an run-out chance. Two changes, for Delhi Jayant comes in place of Mayank, JP Duminy comes in place of Coultner-Nile. For Punjab Shaun Marsh comes in for Marcus Stoinus.

Delhi had finished 7th in the 2015 edition. The team had qualified for the Champions League T20 twice. Kings XI Punjab had finished runner-up and semifinalists in the past IPLs.
