IPL brand valued at $6.8 billion

The US-based consultancy company Duff & Phelps has said that the Indian Premier League’s brand value has registered a seven per cent growth, from $6.3 billion (₹41,800 crore) in 2018 to $ 6.8 billion (₹47,500) in 2019. This is the company’s sixth edition of IPL’s annual study.

The study also put Mumai Indians’ value at ₹809 crore, reflecting an 8.5% growth in 2019 and Chennai Super Kings at ₹732 crore reflecting a 13.1%. Kolkata Knight Riders’ (₹630 crore) and Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (₹595 crore) value has declined by almost 8%, the report said.

The report also said that Sunrisers Hyderabad has made steady gains over the years in terms of its brand value while Delhi Capitals, on the back of its on-field performances in 2019 , saw an appreciation of 9% on brand value.
