The mini auction ahead of the 2021 Indian Premier League will be held here on February 18, a day after the second Test between India and England is scheduled to end.

The venue was confirmed on the official IPL twitter handle on Wednesday and will be held at the Hotel ITC Grand Chola.

The eight teams will have a maximum purse of ₹85 crore, the same as last year.

With the short turnaround time between the two editions — the 2020 edition was held from September to November — the purse was not increased this time like it was done in the previous two years.
