Sri Lankan bowling attack will have to depend on old war horses or blood new faces in the wake of injury worries to three of its main pace bowlers.

Sri Lanka Cricket said on Monday that Nuwan Kulasekera, Dhammika Prasad and Shaminda Eranga will miss the T20 game against Pakistan, and also the forthcoming Test Series Sri Lanka Versus South Africa scheduled to get underway in South Africa, which commences from December 15.

The other casualty for the tour is wicket-keep batsman Prassana Jayawardene. Though his replacement is yet to be decided, there are indications that Kumar Sangakkara, the most prolific batsman this season, might shoulder that responsibility too.

“Mahela Jayawardene will not be considered for selection for the T20 game against Pakistan in the UAE due to an injury,” a release from the cricket body said.
