Sunrisers Hyderabad made Kane Williamson as captain instead of David Warner.

Sunrisers Hyderabad announced on Saturday that Kane Williamson will be taking over captaincy from David Warner for the remainder of the on-going IPL season.

In a statement, Sunrisers informed that the New Zealander Williamson will be leading the team, which is right now at the bottom of the points table with five losses from six games, in the match on Sunday.

The team-management has also made the decision that they will be changing their overseas combination for tomorrow’s match against Rajasthan Royals.

This decision has not come lightly as the management respects the enormous impact Warner has had for the franchisee over a number of years, the statement said.

“As we face the remainder of the season, we are sure Warner will continue to help us strive for success both on and off the field,” it said.
