BCCI to announce two new IPL teams on Tuesday

Two new teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be announced after a meeting of the tournament’s governing council (GC) here on Tuesday.

“The IPL GC will decide on the two new teams that will play in the IPL for the next two years,” BCCI said a statement on Sunday.

The meeting will be followed by a press conference which will be presided over by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar. BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur, IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla and the owners of the two new teams for 2016 and 2017 will attend.
