International Cricket Council chairman Shashank Manohar says he is not in favour of a world cricketing body being dominated by the sport’s powers India, England and Australia.
The ICC approved changes last year under then-chairman Narayanaswamy Srinivasan that gave more power to the so-called “Big Three” by handing them permanent seats on the council’s executive committee.
But Mr. Manohar, who replaced Mr. Srinivasan as ICC chairman this month, told The Week magazine that he was opposed to the idea of a cricket council dominated by the three countries and that all members should be treated equally.
