The general body meeting of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, presided over by Dr. G. Vivekanand, suspended former HCA president Arshad Ayub and ex-Secretary K. John Manoj for life here on Sunday.

“We have taken this extreme step after it was found in an enquiry that they had committed financial irregularities during their term. A resolution was passed unanimously in this regard,” HCA secretary T. Seshnarayan told The Hindu .

“We have also authorised the Apex Council of HCA to initiate necessary action against the other office-bearers of the previous body if there is enough evidence of similar irregularities,” the HCA official said.
