Fracas on Tamim issue subsides


The fracas over Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal's omission and immediate reinstatement has finally subsided. Akram Khan, who resigned from his position of chairman of selectors following Tamim's exit at the insistence of the Bangladesh Cricket Board president Mustafa Kamal, has now declared that he will get back to the committee.

Akram had earlier quit citing interference in selection issues, but had a change of heart after Tamim's recall ahead of Asia Cup's opening fixture against Pakistan.
