Dinesh Karthik and Balaji show the way for India Cements

Skipper Dinesh Karthik’s stroke-filled century (108, 88b, 8x4, 5x6) and L. Balaji’s handsome returns of five for 40 enabled India Cements score a thrilling 10 run victory over State Bank of Mysore in the last group ‘D’ league match of the BCCI Corporate tournament for the Raj Singh Dungarpur Trophy at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.

With an undefeated run in the four-team league, India Cements qualified for the semifinals, where it will meet CAG — which made it to the knock-out from group ‘B’.

While this semifinal will be played at the MCA-BKC facility here on Thursday, last year’s winner Chemplast (from group ‘A’) will play BPCL (from group ‘C’) in the second semifinal at Motera on the same day.
