Dhoni completes 10,000 ODI runs

The former Indian captain M.S. Dhoni surpassed the 10,000 ODI runs milestone during the second one-day international match against England at Lords on Saturday. He becomes the fourth Indian batsman to do so after Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid.

Dhoni became the second wicket-keeper to complete 10,000 runs in one-day internationals. Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara was the other wicket-keeper. Dhoni has an outstanding average of 51.52.

During the course of the second ODI at Lords, Dhoni achieved another milestone by becoming the first Indian wicketkeeper to take 300 catches in ODIs. He is the fourth wicket-keeper to achieve the feat after Adam Gilchrist, Mark Boucher and Kumar Sangakkara.
