Since making his first-class debut for Jamaica a little more than five years ago, Andre Russell, the Delhi Daredevil player, has played in only one Test match for the West Indies, but the all-rounder is willing to wait for that second chance.
“At the moment I am focused on one-day and T20 cricket. Whenever an opportunity comes for me to play Test cricket, I am ready to take it. At the moment I can't focus on all aspects.
“(But) I have it in the back of my mind to play Test cricket. I am willing to wait for the opportunity,” he said ahead of his team's IPL encounter against Mumbai Indians.
The IPL is being targeted by the West Indian player to get some experience for the World T20, to be held in Sri Lanka later this year.
“The World (T20) Cup is around the corner. Just looking to get as much experience as I can of these conditions.
