Zaheer Khan hopes to make a comeback to international cricket soon.

Zaheer Khan expressed satisfaction over his recovery from a left-shoulder surgery in South Africa during July.

“All these months I was doing my rehabilitation and for the last two weeks I have bowled and right now I am working on regaining my bowling fitness. I will play a few domestic games in the coming weeks as I aim to return to international cricket soon,” Zaheer said during a function here on Friday to launch a Nike T-shirt tailored for a global running event that will be held in 24 cities on October 24.

Zaheer also reacted strongly to Aussie spearhead Brett Lee’s stated desire to defeat India 7-0 in the forthcoming ODI series.

“That’s the way the Aussies talk before a series, don’t they? I mean they talk more about other teams than about themselves. May be it is time they look at themselves,” Zaheer said.

The speedster however refused to comment on the sacking of bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad.
