Not an all-rounder: Harbhajan

Harbhajan Singh's exploits with the bat in recent times has led to a few stray whispers of 'all-rounder' in a nation that is yearning for a cricketer who can multi-task.

The off-spinner was quick to caution against the addition of fancy labels to his name. “I am not an allrounder. Firstly, I am a bowler who can bat a bit and I want to keep it like that. There was only one allrounder India produced and that was Kapil Dev and after him we haven't produced an allrounder even as half as good as him,” Harbhajan said here on Monday.

Harbhajan drew satisfaction from his unbeaten 15 that sealed India's victory against Pakistan here on Saturday. “It feels good to win a game for your country especially against Pakistan. When you win matches from a tight situation you feel great but this tournament isn't over yet and there are two more important matches to play,” he said.
