DEADLY DUO: J. Naveen and Ashraey S. Harigan both hit unbeaten centuries as Vellore made 384 for two in 50 overs that proved beyond Cuddalore's reach

J. Naveen and Ashraey S. Harigan stitched an unbeaten 345-run (262 balls) stand for the third wicket as Vellore scored its second straight win defeating an off-colour Cuddalore by 246 runs in the TNCA under-16 inter-district cricket tournament for the P.R. Thevar Trophy here on Wednesday.

Naveen, who cracked an unbeaten 120 against Thanjavur in the opener, struck again. This time it was an even better knock, an unbeaten 169, which came off just 119 balls and contained 26 hits to the fence.

Harigan joined the party to score a run-a-ball 146 (20x4). The duo guided the team to a healthy 384 for two in 50 overs and that crushed Cuddalore’s hopes.
