With a majority of England players being given the cold shoulder in the Indian Premier League players’ auction here on Sunday, the IPL chairman Chirayu Amin was asked about whether there was any issue about getting the requisite NOC from the England and Wales Cricket Board.

Amin, who addressed the media during the lunch break, said: “There are no issues and there is no controversy. We got the NOC. As for franchises not picking England players, it is up to the team management and the IPL Governing Council cannot do anything about it.”

Meanwhile Darren Lehmann, the Deccan Chargers coach, countered and said: “We picked Kevin Pietersen so it all depends on what the teams want.”
