Kerala speedster S Sreesanth was left heartbroken but promised to come back stronger after being left out of India’s 15-man World Cup squad, picked by the K. Srikkanth-led selection committee in Chennai on Monday.

“I will never ever give up. I love this game and will keep giving my very best,” Sreesanth said. “I am heartbroken but no worries, time will come my way,” he wrote on his twitter account.

“Will keep giving my very best to the game no matter how small my chances are. I truly believe in God,” he tweeted.

Sreesanth was, however, quick to wish his teammates luck ahead of the mega event, scheduled to be held in the sub-continent from February 19 to April 2.

“Wishing the team all the very best and I am sure we will win this one. Will surely miss it. Was really looking forward to win it... maybe next one,” he wrote.

The pacer’s omission has also left his fans disheartened. “Thanks for all your good wishes and support,” Sreesanth wrote.
