Bengal Ranji probables

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Monday named a 35-member Ranji Trophy probables list for the upcoming season. The list includes six who played in the rebel Indian Cricket League.

The two notable omissions were opening batsman Arindam Das and off-spinner Priyankar Mukherjee, who has been pulled up for suspect action in the past.

Subhajit Paul, who was the seventh player from Bengal to play in ICL, did not find a place in the list.

The probables will attend a pre-season camp under high performance manager, Dr. Vece Paes from August 20. Coach Roger Binny will join the camp later this month.

The probables: Anustup Majumdar, Rohan Banerjee, Subhamoy Das, Deep Dasgupta, Abhishek Banerjee, Partha Sarathi Bhattacharya, Manoj Tiwary, Rohan Gavaskar, Abhishek Jhunjhunwala, Dibyendu Chakraborty, Soham Ghosh, Arindam Ghosh, Sourasish Lahiri, Ritam Kundu, Iresh Saxena, Shib Sagar Singh, Aijaz Ansari, Laxmi Ratan Shuka, Avik Choudhury, Ranadeb Bose, Ashok Dinda, Saurav Sarkar, Eklakh Ahmed, Nilkantha Das, Mohammad Ashrafuddin, Arijit Banerjee, Wriddhiman Saha, Shreevats Goswami, Aritra Chatterjee, Debabrata Das, Sayan Sekhar Mondal, Aditya Sengupta, Amit Banerjee, Prinan Dutta and Shib Sankar Paul (subject to fitness).
