Constantine disrespectful: Carlos

Delhi Dynamos coach Roberto Carlos says he feel disrespected by national team coach Stephen Constantine, on how the matter of releasing India internationals from the Delhi squad was handled.

The players — Robin Singh, Sehnaj Singh and Francis Fernandes — were released by the ISL franchise to join the Indian team, in order for them to compete in the upcoming World Cup qualifications fixtures.

“Yes, I called Constantine to talk to him about the matter. But I did not like the way he spoke to me. I do not want to speak about the India team anymore. I wish him luck,” Carlos said, after Delhi’s ISL loss to FC Goa here on Sunday.

Speaking about the match, Carlos alleged that rival footballers “rolled on the floor” and resorted to unfair time-wasting tactics. “We will file an official complaint soon,” he said.
