A dominant Kerala squad clinched the overall championship at the National junior athletics championships at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium here on Sunday. Kerala won both the boys’ and girls’ team championships, leaving Haryana well behind in second place.
Satish Pasala of Maharashtra, the 400m hurdles champion, was adjudged the best male athlete. Orissa’s Dutee Chand, who broke the national record in the 100m and equalled the national record in the 200m here, was declared the best female athlete.
