Two-time Asian champion Shiva Keshavan has been given the Olympic Solidarity scholarship by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in his bid to qualify and compete in the next Winter Olympics in Sochi next year.
The 31-year-old Keshavan, who has already competed in Luge in four editions of the Winter Games, was recommended for the award by the IOC member Randhir Singh.
Keshavan will compete in the Olympic test event and the World Cup final, a mandatory race for qualifying for the Winter Olympics, already in progress in Sochi.
