Despite dropping out midway through the 400m at the recent Asian athletics championships with back pain, Hima Das has been included in the Indian team for the World Relays which begin in Yokohama, Japan, on May 11.

“Hima may be okay by the time of the World Relays,” said Radhakrishnan Nair, the deputy chief coach.

The men’s and women’s teams are the same which figured at the Asians in Doha. “For the mixed relays, we can have any two from the men’s and women’s teams,” said Radhakrishnan.

The teams: Men: Arokia Rajiv, Muhammed Anas, K.S. Jeevan, P. Kunhu Muhammed, Jithu Baby, Alex Anthony.

Women: Hima Das, M.R. Poovamma, V.K. Vismaya, Saritaben Gayakwad, Prachi, Sonia Baisya.
