Sprints meet shifted to Patiala

The National Sprints meet scheduled to be held in Mumbai on September 11 and 12 has been postponed.

The meet will now be held at Patiala on September 18 and 19. It will serve as the trials for both men and women towards selection to the 4x100m relay teams for the Asian athletics championships to be held in Guangzhou, China, in November. Entries can be sent to AFI office in Delhi by September 15.

Inter-State meet in Chennai

The National inter-State championships scheduled to be held at Ranchi will now be held in Chennai, on the originally scheduled dates (Oct 21-24).

The Tamil Nadu association sought this meet after the Federation Cup which it was originally scheduled to host last June got postponed. This meet is not expected to be held now.
