Pakistan beat NZ by 43 runs

Pakistan has squared the one—day series against New Zealand at 1—1 by winning the third match by 43 runs.

Opener Mohammad Hafeez broke out of a form slump to score his first century in 62 matches and guide to 293—7 after being sent in to bat Saturday on a green but slow pitch.

Hafeez scored 115 and captain Shahid Afridi smashed a half century from 19 balls.

In reply, New Zealand was held to 250—9, with Umar Gul taking 2—31 and Hafeez 1—25.

New Zealand won the first match by nine wickets and the second was abandoned because of rain.
