Close on the heels of its association with the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, Coca-Cola has signed a deal with the organising committee of the 19th Commonwealth Games in Delhi to be the official beverage.

Kalmadi delighted

The Chairman of the organising committee, Suresh Kalmadi, said that with the countdown having come down to 200 days for the Commonwealth Games, he was delighted to have the beverage on board.

Kalmadi hoped that the company would not only supply the complete range of products during the Games but also be involved in the campaign for a successful conduct.

The president and CEO of Coca-Cola India, Atul Singh, highlighted the company's constant involvement in the world of sports, dating back to the Olympic Games in 1928 and the World Cup football 50 years later, apart from its association with Indian sports even at the grassroots level, as much as the hockey World Cup held last fortnight.
