Registrations are open for the third Rising Star Summer Roller Skating Championship

Shivaji Park Skating Association is back with its third edition of Rising Star Summer Championship. The competition will be organised at the Shivaji Park, MVP Colony on June 2 and 3.

Through this competition, the Association aims to promote the sport at an early age. The competition has three events — speed, practice and jonex. The events have six age groups. The youngest age group is for kids below four (born on or after January 1, 2014) and can participate in jonex competition only. The second group is for children aged between four to six years (born between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2013). Next age group is six to eight years (born between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2011). Followed by the two sub junior categories, the first is for eight to 10 years (born between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009), and the second is for 10 to 12 years (born between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2007). And finally, the junior category for 12 to 14 years (born between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2005). About 200 participants are expected to register for the competition.
