Winamp

Remember Winamp? The Media player that was the most preferred replacement to Microsoft Windows Media Player some ten years ago. No one could have forgotten this program. But the sad news is, after 15 years of being in the business the once uber popular App is shutting shop.

>On its website , the message is out: “Winamp.com and associated web services will no longer be available past December 20, 2013. Additionally, Winamp Media players will no longer be available for download. Please download the latest version before that date.”

Credit card replacement

In what could be a quirky new device that promises to be as useful as it is cute, Coin, a credit card and a debit card consolidation device, promises to be the only card a person needs to carry. The device, which is just as big as a regular sized credit card, will store information of all the credit cards and debit cards a person carries on his wallet. The information can be transferred through smartphone. This replacement card can be used for cash transactions after the user selects the card for specific purposes - say credit card for a business lunch but a debit card for a minor purchase. If your curiosity is piqued, do check the official website www.onlycoin.com for this looks like a nice device to ask that America uncle to courier.

Instagram for Windows

Windows phone users can finally jump on the Instagram bandwagon. The official App for the photo-sharing service was finally launched for the Windows Phone mobile platform recently. The service that was once exclusive to Apple’s iOS platform has moved on to include Android platform too. Now the service has more than 15 million users worldwide. In terms of filters and editing options on offer, Instagram is still one of the best Apps available for shutterbugs.
