As 10 countries get together to fight it out for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Google has marked the start of the tournament with a doodle.

The doodle, with a cricket ball replacing the O, and stumps in place of the L, when clicked on, turns into an animation of a bowler running up, a batsman hitting the ball, and a fielder catching it.

In the official blog, Google said, “Today’s Doodle celebrates the International Cricket Council’s 2019 World Cup, which opens at the Oval in London... No matter how heated the competition may get, cricket is highly respected for maintaining high standards of fair play and good sportsmanship. Hence the phrase ‘It’s just not cricket’, which describes anything considered unfair.”

The first match  of the World Cup is between England and South Africa at 3 p.m. IST.
