The redesigned website of The Hindu will move out of beta and become fully live at >www.thehindu.com on June 24, 2010. Since the beta’s launch on August 15, 2009, the website designed by Mario Garcia Jr., of Garcia Media, Tampa, Florida, has received tremendous reader response for its elegant layout, rich visual content, and intuitive navigation. Besides building up a database of articles and slideshows, it has hosted multimedia content, including videos of the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, and the theme song of the World Classical Tamil Conference 2010.

As an extension of The Hindu's 131-year-old legacy as a newspaper of record, the full archive of articles from January 1, 2000 will be available on the redesigned website progressively. At present, the archive from January 1, 2000 to May 31, 2010 is available at >www.hindu.com . This content can also be accessed from the ‘Archives’ page of the new website at >www.thehindu.com .

The redesigned website will have ‘Today's Paper’ (the longest version of articles from all the print editions of The Hindu ). The archives on the new website are from the print edition dated June 1, 2010 and onwards.
