Lenovo-subsidiary Motorola is expected to rejig its inventory by launching the C Plus smartphone in India on June 19. Moto's latest offering will be available exclusively on Flipkart.
If other markets are the cue, the Moto C Plus could be priced competitively between Rs 8,000 and Rs 10,000. In that price range it will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, YU Yureka Black, and the latest entrant in the affordable-smartphone market, the Nokia 3.
The Moto C Plus is expected to run on the Android Nougat operating system. The resolution is expected to be the same as the Moto C, and the screen size is also pegged at 5 inches. The device will be powered by Mediatek chipsets if it is building on the C platform.
The C Plus is expected to launch with dual-SIM 4G VoLTE capability. On the camera front, the Moto C Plus will likely offer an 8MP rear camera along with a 2MP front one. The Moto C Plus in the U.S. houses a 4,000mAh battery unit, which could be its biggest draw if it launches in India with the same pack.
