GSAT-8 launch postponed

The launch of GSAT-8 communication satellite, scheduled for the early hours of May 20 from French Guiana, Kourou Island, has been postponed to May 21.

The postponement is due to additional inspection of the launch vehicle by Arianespace. The exact schedule for the launch will be announced later, said a press release from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

The GSAT-8 has been built by the ISRO Satellite Centre in Bangalore.
