George Michael turns to Twitter to kick the butt

George Michael has come up with a different way to get rid of his smoking habit. The singer is so determined to kick his nicotine habit that he turns to Twitter to distract him every time he feels like smoking a cigarette.

The ‘Careless Whisper’ hitmaker stubbed out his addiction in recent years, but admitted his stint in prison last year for possession of marijuana and driving under the influence of drugs reignited his habit.

Michael has since resolved to quit again, and he turns to the social networking site to keep him busy whenever he feels the urge to light up.

"Of course, within a week, because there was barely anything else to do in there (prison), I was back hooked on the nicotine,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

"Now I’m trying not to smoke cigarettes - what I’ve found is tweeting gives me something to do,” he added.
