Rena sea disaster


Struck by rough weather, Liberia-flagged cargo ship Rena, creates havoc at sea off the coast of New Zealand. An oil leak, coming from damaged pipes of the vessel that struck the Astrolabe Reef about 12 nautical miles from Tauranga Harbour, has killed several birds and fishes, besides causing extensive damage to wildlife.
