Two rhinos were found dead inside the world-famed Kaziranga National Park which has witnessed a spate of rhino killings recently, park officials said.
Two adult rhinos, a male and a female, were found dead with their horns intact near Kanchanjuri camp and Ajankathani area under Bagori range of the camp, officials said on Thursday.
The female rhino was suspected to have died on Wednesday while the other got stuck in the water body and died on Thursday.
Vets examined the rhinos and concluded that both deaths were due to natural causes.
Forest personnel removed the horns and those would be kept in the custody of the department.
Altogether 44 rhinos died naturally or due to floods while 19 were killed by poachers this year.
