Over the last few weeks, a host of actors have spoken out against the the Citizenship Amendment Act, the National Population Register and the National Register of Citizens as well as the violence that erupted in Jawaharlal Nehru University, be it by tweeting or protesting or showing solidarity in person. Does celebrities speaking out make a difference to the cause?
