Establishing the institution of independent news ombudsmen is a unique experiment which has only enhanced two things associated with The Hindu — quality and trust.

Our affection for this great daily stems from the fact that it is the complete newspaper. I still remember the days when we used to place a few copies of The Hindu among other books during Saraswati puja.
