Team Anna

This refers to the report “The battle against corruption will be a long one, says Anna” (July 28) and where Team Anna member Ms Kiran Bedi has said that Mr. Hazare will clean up politics. All of us are in agreement with her when she says that the system needs to be cleansed. If Mr. Hazare forms his own party, he can set some things right. Unfortunately, though, the aura surrounding him and some in his team is on the wane due to the “touch-me-not” attitude of some of them.

“Cartoonscape” (July 27) has summed up the response of the public to Team Anna’s latest move. In less than a year, the movement has lost direction thanks to the attitude of the core committee. Instead of pursuing the objective of purging the administration of corruption, the movement is now getting affected as individuals are being targeted.

The common man, though keen on seeing corruption wiped out, is not interested in Team Anna’s periodical outbursts.
