The article “Communicating through silence” (Open Page, Jan. 29) was a beautiful narration. I could relate the article to a real life experience. Whenever my grandfather's sister visited our hometown, she would go to the temple every day. I often accompanied her. On one such evening, electricity went off . She said, “Let us wait here, anna will bring a battery [torch].” I told her grandfather was deeply engrossed in reading and hadn't noticed us leaving. She continued waiting. Soon, to my surprise, I saw my grandfather walking towards us with a flashlight. He could have sent my father or my brother but he knew his sister was expecting only him.
