Shopping for change

October 27, 2015 01:27 am | Updated 01:31 am IST

Change is the only constant and only those who adapt shall survive. (“ >The future is click and mortar ”, Oct. 25) Already shopping malls are getting out of date and many of them in Delhi and Gurgaon are shutting shop because of the exponential growth of online sites like Amazon, Flipkart and Snap Deal. Likewise, the traditional taxis are feeling the heat from app-based Uber and Ola and are on the warpath in Kerala. How long will they be able to withstand the new user friendly taxi? But the government machinery and the judiciary are still lagging behind and continue in their colonial garb. If the governance and justice delivery system are also allowed to be modernised, this country can leapfrog into the big league within 10 years.
