Rafale deal

January 21, 2019 11:01 pm | Updated 11:01 pm IST

The Hindu ’s exclusive report on the Rafale fighter aircraft deal does not seem to find anything that merits a deep probe. The CAG has complete access to the files on the deal, so why jump the gun and cry foul without waiting for its report? The highest court of the land too did not find anything adverse. The silver lining is that there is no money trail in this deal. One must always remember that when there are thousands of our brave sons at our borders fighting the odds to ensure our safety, any amount of money spent for the country’s defence procurements is not at all an issue per se.
